Wac Arts: Summer Series
A new programme of masterclasses and short-courses available to those aged 14+ taking place this summer.
Join us for a one-off session, or for a block of 3-sessions, exploring contemporary dance, musical theatre, or our creative industry masterclasses in acting for audio, writing for stage and audition technique.
Contemporary Dance Short-Course
Monday 5th, 12th , 19th August, 6pm to 8.30pm
Our Contemporary Dance short-course will focus on technique, you will work with a professional dancer to explore balance, form and style while working towards creating a routine. This short-course is ideal for those wanting to develop their technique and take it to the next level. We encourage you to sign up to all three sessions, however you can join individual classes.
Musical Theatre Short-course
Tuesday 6th, 13th, 20th August, 6pm to 8.30pm
On our Musical Theatre short-course you will work with industry professionals to develop a range of singing, acting and dance techniques to enhance your natural abilities as a performer.
Each week you’ll build elements of performance, bringing them together in the final week. We encourage you to sign up to all three sessions, however you can join individual classes.
Creative Industry Masterclasses
Wednesday 7th, 14th, 21st August, 6pm to 8.30pm
In our Creative Industries Masterclasses you’ll learn from industry professionals as you enhance your audio, writing and audition techniques. You can sign up to all three sessions, or join an individual masterclass.
- Week 1: Delve into the world of Acting for Audio. Work with a professional voiceover artist, and learn how to develop different characters through voice.
- Week 2: Develop a tool kit of how to create stories for the stage with our Writing for Stage masterclass.
- Week 3: Work with a theatre and film casting director, learn how to develop your Audition Technique.
Pricing
£30 per session, or £75 for a block of 3 sessions
If you book a 2nd block, it will be discounted to £65 (with the first block costing £75, totaling £140)
If you book a 3rd block, it will be discounted to £55 (with the first block costing £75 and the second costing £65, totalling £195)

All of Wac Arts classes adhere to our Quality Code, and tutors plan an annual curriculum of content that aligns with our Aims of Participation. Wac Arts has regular sharing’s of the class work, an end of year sharing in our large performance space, other external performance opportunities and our annual achievement awards. We survey our students, parents & guardians annually and evaluate this feedback to improve and grow our programme offer. Our tutors are observed three times per year to ensure the continued development and growth of the young people who choose to study with us. We have excellent facilities with full disabled access at our building in Belsize Park, as well as tutors who are passionate an committed to the growth and development of each of our students.
