We are looking for young people who want to learn new media and assistive technology expertise in weekly and holiday workshops here at Wac Arts.
- * Are you aged 12-18 with a mild to moderate/high functioning disability?
- * Do you have a passion for new technology?
- * Do you want to meet new like-minded friends and have fun?
- * Do you want to train other young people to use technology effectively, developing your communication, social and independence skills?
The areas will include Radio production, Television production, Animation, Music Technology, DJ/VJ, Film Making, 3D Printing, App/Game development, and many more to help you stay at the cutting edge of technical innovation.
Over the next three years we plan to go on many trips across the UK to share the knowledge you learn with students and staff at different organisations, creating an online network of empowered disabled young people and professionals, sharing ideas and nationwide events, enabling fun and friendship opportunities for all involved.
Over the course of the year we will be running outreach workshops at youth organisations and schools to build on our social interactions.
