40th Birthday Networking Breakfast

Wac Arts is celebrating 40 years of providing transformational performing arts and media programmes to young people.

“Wac Arts means an expanded life. A better life. A chance to open up with likeminded people and grow as a person. That’s what I felt in the eleven years I’ve been here”
John Gaine, Senior Wac Arts student and Wac Arts Ambassasor

We would like to invite our community to attend our quarterly networking breakfast. This is a great opportunity to get to know the team here at Wac Arts, plus other cultural and youth organisations and local businesses from across Camden (as well as helping us celebrate our 40th Birthday!)

In addition to breakfast and networking, there will also be a performance by our professional training students and the chance to on a tour of our Old Town Hall, exploring the heritage of this historic building at the centre of Hampstead. This tour will take place after the breakfast, from 9.30am to 10.30am. This is a unique opportunity to find out more about the building, with fun facts and the opportunity to explore the nooks and crannies of this 140 year old building that played a special part in history (did you know about the WWII bunkers on site, the Suffragette rallies or that Lulu was married in the Old Town Hall?!). There will also be an opportunity for guests to leave a birthday message and share memories of the building and of Wac Arts.

Date: Friday 12th October
Breakfast Time: 8.30am – 9.30am
Town Hall Tour Time: 9.30am – 10.30am
Location: Café at Wac Arts

Please RSVP Hayley.Butler@WacArts.co.uk

Wac Arts believes in the infinite power of the arts to unleash the extraordinary potential of young people. The charity has always been driven by the needs of young people and the community and has gone from strength to strength in the last 40 years. Wac Arts offers fully inclusive programmes that celebrate diversity, with classes significantly subsidised to make them accessible to all young people aged 5-30. Providing weekend, evening and holiday programmes as well as a unique full time professional training course and a vibrant disability and inclusion programme, Wac Arts is rock solid in support of empowering young people to change their worlds through the arts.

To celebrate this 40 year milestone Wac Arts will be holding a year of celebrations starting from September 2018.
