Time: 7.30 pm – 8.30 pm

Term length: 10 weeks (3 terms per year – registration required for each term)

Fee: £4 (1-hour class)

Fee with Bursary: £2 subject to availability

Come along to this friendly class where all levels are welcome! Barre is a full-body workout that is inspired by ballet and low-impact training such as Pilates and Yoga. Our tutor, a trained Ballet dancer and instructor and will clearly demonstrate all movements and give alternatives where necessary.

 

Singing &

Songwriting

Ages: 16+

Day: Tuesday

Time: 4.00 pm – 5.30 pm

Term length: 10 weeks (3 terms per year – registration required for each term)

Fee: £6 (90-minute class)

Fee with Bursary: £3 subject to availability

This class is designed to develop your singing and songwriting voice. You’ll gain insight into song structures, lyrical content, and musical composition. Drawing inspiration from situations and surroundings, you’ll write meaningful songs. Building confidence in performing your own work, you’ll learn to write lyrics and create a unique sound. With a focus on vocal techniques and harmony, all experience levels are welcome.

DJEMBE Drumming

Ages: 18+

Day: Saturday

Time: 12.00 – 1.00 pm

Term length: 10 weeks (3 terms per year – registration required for each term)

Fee: £2 (1-hour class)

This Class has been priced at a universally subsidised fee.

Welcome to Djembe! – a goblet drum, played with bare hands. You will learn to play in a group ensemble,  adapting to different rhythmic structures. You will develop your rhythm skills and musical theory, exploring traditional rhythms, solo phrases, and improvisation. You will master counter rhythms, syncopation, and polyrhythm. Whatever your level of skill and experience, there is a place for you in the group ensemble.

Come and join Wac Arts new Contemporary Choir! Everyone is welcome at Sing Together and, that is exactly what we will do, enjoy singing together. Under the guidance of an experienced Singing Practitioner, you will learn a full repertoire of songs, singing in harmony and finding the joy in music.

Actors

Time: 10.00 am – 1.00 pm

Term length: 10 weeks (3 terms per year – registration required for each term)

Fee: £10 (3-hour rehearsal)

The Wac Arts Actors’ Company will develop essential skills such as ensemble work and team building, sight reading, and script analysis. Led by Director Katie Coull, the Actors Company will explore different themes and acting techniques, widening their skillset and learning how to authentically develop a character. The year will culminate in a performance at a professional theatre.
