This autumn Wac Arts and Akademi will be running a free intergenerational dance project exploring a exciting range of south asian dance styles. The project involves seven weekly workshops led by professional dance and movement artists followed by a celebratory performance here at the Old Town Hall on Friday 21st November as part of the Wac Arts Creative Connections celebration.
This new collaboration aims to bring together different generations, create new relationships and develop confidence through a series of weekly movements and dance workshops. The project aims to engage young people and families from Camden and the surrounding areas, members of the University of the Third Age and the London Durga Puja Association.

We’re thrilled to be partnering with WAC Arts on this exciting intergenerational project, where participants from 11 to 80+ years old will come together through the power of danceand movement. This project represents everything we believe in – using the arts to breakdown barriers, build understanding, and create genuine connections across age groups. Amix of Indian classical, folk, and Bollywood dance styles will create a fun, inspiring andinclusive space where different generations can learn from each other. We’re anticipatingincredible moments of discovery as the participants explore and embrace new styles ofdance and movement. It’s going to be a wonderful celebration of community, culture, andthe unifying power of movement and we are delighted to be supporting WAC Arts in thismeaningful effort.
