Meet the facilitator

Mac-Daniel Palima (Mickey)

My name is Mickey. I was born in the Philippines where I learnt traditional folk dances; and when I moved to the UK, trained in contemporary, ballet and jazz techniques. I have an MA in Dance Performance at Trinity Laban Conservatoire for Music and Dance. Throughout my dance journey, I have worked for companies such as Fuelled Dance Theatre and Yuki Chung Dance as well as working choreographers such as Anjali Mera, Richard Chappell, Hagit Yakira and Jarkko Partanen.

I grew up listening to a lot of KPOP music hence I have a deep love for the genre. My workshops are high energy, and focus on musicality using counts, clarity of movement and lines, and body rhythm that is commonly seen in many of the choreos for KPOP music. During the class we will learn the highlights of the choreography and dig into the details so we can understand the intricacies of what makes a KPOP choreo exciting and fun! Dancing the choreos are all about enjoying the music, challenging your skills and dancing together with people around you 🙌💃🥰👊💥💫
