Our Graduates

On graduation you will be regarded as a fully trained professional performer, ready to seek work. Previous alumni have gained employment across a wide range of performing arts forms including Stage, TV, Film, Recording studios, International touring, Writing, Composing and Directing. Our latest graduates can currently be seen from the West End stage to the set of Ridley Scott’s latest movie. See some of our students performing.

Recent Graduate Success

· KM Drew Boateng, has announced that he’ll be making his West End debut by joining the cast of cult show Motown: The Musical -which follows the legendary career of Berry Gordy and the creation of his musical empire, Motown Records- at The Shaftsbury Theatre.
· Wac Arts alumna Sophia Mackay is starring in an upcoming production of The Bubbly Black Girl Sheds Her Chameleon Skin, at Stratford Royal in March. She’ll be playing Viveca, a young African American girl who dreams of becoming a dancer. We’re hugely excited to watch what’s sure to be an altogether fantastic performance.
· Newtion Matthews Wac Arts Alumnus and ambassador is playing Bunny Wailer in the new musical One Love: The Bob Marley Musical, at the Birmingham Repertory Theatre in March 2017.

Career prospects

The Wac Arts Diploma has an impressive employability record for its students; more than 80% of our graduates currently have professional representation.

Wac Arts Diploma graduates have gone on to successful careers on the West End stage, feature films and primetime television. Our alumni can be seen in Holby City, Into the Hoods and The Bill; one recent graduate has secured a singer/songwriter contract with Warner. The statistics* speak for themselves:

100% pass rate for achieving a Level 6 Diploma for 2011-2012
85% of students with professional representation within 6 months of graduation
88% in professional employment within 6 months of graduation

During your third year, you will be introduced to employers through master classes, a touring end of year show and showcases to the industry.
