We have an exciting opportunity for an experienced arts engagement and learning/youth support professional, at Wac Arts, a charity which offers inclusive performing arts for young people between the ages of 5 and 30.
Working closely with the Head of Youth Inclusion, you will design and deliver the new engagement plan, to reach young people and communities facing the greatest barriers to participation, including those with mild to severe learning disabilities. You will support the development and growth of our nascent outreach services and our youth governance activity, in addition to providing pastoral support and facilitating progression opportunities for our young people and beneficiaries.
You must be passionate about the importance of inclusive participative arts, with the ability to connect with and engage young people, community groups and strategic partners. You must have proven experience in an arts administration role and in supporting young people in and through arts activities, enabling personal development and progression.
The post requires regular Saturday work during programme delivery (September to June), plus occasional weekend and evening work. The role is offered on a 0.8 (4-day week) basis.
