Wac Arts is delighted to announce that we are partnering with The King Alfred School. The King Alfred School is a diverse and supportive educational institution and we look forward working closely with staff and students over the coming year. After a recent visit Ofsted commented, ‘Learners’ destinations are excellent, with all graduates gaining employment in the industry during the past three years’ – we look forward to being able to share an incredibly high standard of performing arts with The King Alfred School. As part of the partnership students at King Alfred and Wac Arts will be invited to one another’s shows and sharings, have the opportunity to perform for one another throughout the term. King Alfred students will also have the opportunity to volunteer on Wac Arts’ wide range of programmes, from our disability and inclusion programmes to weekend projects like Junior Wac Arts. They’ll also have the chance to take part in our summer schools, master classes and holiday projects, and Wac Arts students will also get the opportunity to use the King Alfred theatre space in order to showcase work.
We’re really excited to begin this journey; starting with students from King Alfred paying us a visit for our Diploma in Professional Musical Theatre Open Day on June 28th!
