On Saturday 2nd August 2014 from 12-6pm Wac Arts will be running a stall at Queen’s Crescent Summer Festival!
This summer festival attracts about 5, 000 local residents and has stalls selling international food, there are children’s rides and games, live music, workshops and event arts and crafts stalls! From 2-4pm there’s a “Camden has Talent” competition, Wac Arts employee and musician, Sunil Tailor will be judging. The BBC will be there filming the event so Wac Arts is sure to get a mention with Sunil on the panel.
There are more mostly free activities for all ages including DJ workshops, salsa dancing tutorials, pony rides, and a bouncy castle. There are sports day games for the whole family from ages 3 and up from 12-1pm. There’s a Sports taster session for young people aged 8-19 years from 1-4pm. There’s a children’s activity area, which includes fun and games from 1-3pm for 3-5 year old. On the stage there’s live music from 12-2pm then the Camden talent show from 2-4pm and lastly more live music from 4-6pm! There is a selection of fairground rides and fun for the children from 12-6pm in the children’s ride area. Furthermore, international food stalls, face painting, drumming workshops, and so much more!
This event has something fun for the entire family! The festival is on the corner of Malden Road and Queen’s Crescent which is only down the road form Wac Arts and has good public transport links with Chalk Farm and Belsize Park underground stations nearby.
In the mist of all these activities, be sure to visit the Wac Arts stall,! Wac Arts will be selling T-shirts and greetings cards to raise money for our programmes and we will have plenty of info on our courses and the activities happening at Wac Arts over summer and next term.
