With Spring in the air, Stephen Davy, Director of Stephen Davy Peter Smith Architects, is putting a spring in his step to run the Virgin London Marathon in support of Wac Arts. After a slightly delayed start to training Stephen is on track – he’s been running anywhere from 10 to 30 kilometres, not only in North London and Wiltshire but also along the bracing Brighton sea front! We’re keeping our fingers crossed for good running weather – although even in torrential rain he’ll be difficult to miss in his luminous Wac Arts running vest! He’s had a fantastic response on his Just Giving page, ensuring that our huge range of programmes can continue to support children and young people from all backgrounds into brilliant futures. Stephen’s aiming to raise £5,000 in total, which would enable Wac Arts to continue taking young people on inspiring journeys.
Stephen’s Training Update
Training Week Ten: Marathon training is gearing up nicely! Gym sessions have consistently included one hour hill sessions on the treadmill, two hour runs on the treadmill and weekly personal training sessions. Last week I ran 20 miles overall, and on each of the 2 preceding weeks I ran 40 miles per week.
If you’d like to sponsor Stephen then you just need to run (or walk!) across to his Just Giving page: www.justgiving.com/stephen-davy
2016 is set to be a fantastic year of fundraising for Wac Arts, and we’re always looking for new people and ideas to be a part of this. If you’ve got an idea that you think could help support our programmes feel free to drop us a line!
