The Fundraising Revolution continues at Wac Arts … another amazing night of theatre, dance and live music this Friday at the Bush Theatre, London W12!
‘Revolution’ fundraising nights have raised literally £1,000s for our fantastic projects and become a firm favourite with everyone they have touched. Alternating between the Dalston Vic venue in the East and the Bush Theatre in the West, the array of talent appeals across London and beyond!
Started last year by alumni and award-winning playwright, Che Walker, the ‘Revolution’ events offer an opportunity to celebrate the performing arts in a unique setting whilst also kick starting new fundraising initiatives to support Wac Arts. In the face of the current ever-declining public funding for the arts it has become crucial to develop new sources of funding for our important work with young people to continue. Combining the best of theatre, dance, music and song, whilst also raising money for Wac Arts, ‘Revolution’ nights are uplifting and inspiring as well as being great entertainment!
Continuing the now established blend of talents and styles, established acts perform with the latest emerging artists to create an eclectic mix of entertainment. Every show is unique – making each one something really special – every time!
Performers at this week’s event include singer Sheila Atim and Michaela The Poet, Rio Kai, actor Tobi Wharton and Miss Hope Springs. Dance crew Bollywood Vibes perform, with Vimala, actress Eve Best, playwright and actor Che Walker and AK. Guaranteed to be a night of soulful drama, music and poetry!
