Playwright, Che Walker’s fantastically successful ‘Revolution’ benefit evenings continue to go from strength to strength. This weekend we all celebrated ‘Mother’s Day Revolution’ in style and everyone who brought their mum gained half price admission, whilst mums themselves came in absolutely free … obviously!!
Literally £1, 000s have been raised at these events for Wac Arts with renowned artistes including jazz pianist Julian Joseph and actress Martina Laird sharing bills with emerging talent to create wonderful evenings of entertainment.
We are also delighted that Wac Arts supporters, Annie Graham-Brown and Ross McGonnell have organised two fantastic fundraising activities this spring! On 3rd March, Annie ran the Bath Half Marathon for Wac Arts and on 21st April, Ross will be attempting his first triathlon event.
He will swim 384m, cycle 25km and then run the final 5km around Hayward Heath, raising funds all the way for Wac Arts projects. Having run the St Alban’s Half Marathon for us last year in an amazing 1hr 57mins and 59 seconds we’re sure Ross will make it! Wishing him all the best for a successful day!
We are eternally grateful to all the artists and friends of Wac Arts, and all those who support them, for making these brilliant occasions happen. Please support Ross’s incredible Triathlon Sprint knowing all funds raised go directly to Wac Arts programmes!
