Wac Arts believes in the infinite power of the arts to unleash the extraordinary potential of young people. For over 40 years, it has worked with generation after generation of young people from diverse backgrounds, empowering over 30,000 with the life skills that only the arts can offer.

Access to the arts is a right not a privilege so we offer affordable, inclusive classes in music, dance and drama to ensure our programmes are open equally to young people who face barriers to opportunity.

Despite the arts sector facing challenges like never before, we remain deeply ambitious about our future and seek a new Chair of Trustees who will provide outstanding leadership to the Board and the wider Wac Arts organisation. The incoming Chair will be able to demonstrate effective business acumen, financial literacy and have a strong understanding of governance best practice. The ideal candidate will have extensive chairing experience and influential communication skills.

This is an exciting opportunity for someone comfortable with leading change and enthusiastic about helping an organisation evolve into a nationally respected arts hub for the community and arts professionals alike.

Wac Arts serves a diverse community and we encourage applications from a broad range of backgrounds and life experiences.

Interested applicants should email a CV, equal opportunities form and covering letter to Maria.Vasiliou@WacArts.co.uk.

The deadline for receipt of applications is Friday 31st July 2020.
