… Lula’s ‘Edinburgh to London’ cycle ride!
Lula Mebrahtu planned a great summer adventure and dedicated her amazing antics to fundraising for our projects!
Cycling more than 400 miles from Edinburgh to London, she also wanted to swim with the Lock Ness Monster, take in Stonehenge to work out how the stones got there and sleep under the stars. Lula is hoping her fantastic cycle ride will raise £600 for Wac Arts so please dig deep and support her.
Setting off in holiday mood from historic Edinburgh in the middle of August, she arrived back in London along the busy A1 after ten long, hard days’ cycling through the elements. It was a massive effort, following the coast down from Edinburgh, through Durham and camping out in the rain, woken by rabbits and sheep, surviving on crackers and the hospitality of friends along the way, we salute Lula for her stamina and staying power – thank you!
As someone who has benefited from everything she learnt at Wac Arts, Lula’s life is busy and fulfilled all year round and so, this summer, she wanted to do everything she could to ensure others can follow in her footsteps. Fundraising for us so that talented young people can continue to realise their dreams for years to come.
Please make it all worthwhile and donate whatever you can through Lula’s JustGiving page at www.justgiving.com/Lula-Mebrahtu
