Our brand new, individual giving scheme has been up and running for two months! With two Gold Backers, eight Silver Backers and thirteen Bronze Backers already on board, we need as many people as possible to join up this summer.
The ambitious target of raising £100,000 by the end of October means we are asking all our supporters and anyone who has benefited from the unique Wac Arts’ blend of arts and media activities, to consider giving whatever you can to secure our work for future generations.
Any donation, no matter how small, will help us survive. There are three levels of membership, each with their own unique benefits. Bronze membership is £25, Silver is £250 and our Gold members invest £5,000 or more for a very special level of involvement. You can also donate any amount to the fund!
One of the many benefits of the scheme is that we are able to support individuals in achieving their own personal goals whilst they raise amazing amounts for our work. Our fundraisers have literally climbed mountains for us! Running marathons, half-marathons and skydiving with all proceeds going to the scheme, their endeavours demonstrate the very powerful motivation that Wac Arts instills in its students, alumni and supporters.
Our most recent fundraising event was pop up shop day, ‘The 48 Laws of Style’. Fulfilling her dream to run a pop up event and raising £500 in the process, Shivon Boller‘s day was a great success. Bringing together popular fashion brands, services and businesses with stands offering everything from cup cakes to jerk chicken and curry, everyone had a great time! The lucky raffle winners took away fantastic prizes including concert tickets to a Live by the Lake event, generously donated by www.livebythelake.co.uk.
The support of our Backers makes a tangible difference to all the young people that Wac Arts in turn supports. It also represents the positive influence of a new focus on individual giving both to sustain a vibrant community and maintain this important cultural institution for the future. We desperately need to raise this money to continue our work – please sign up to support us however small your donation – we have a mountain to climb but can reach it if we all help out!
